I would love to have a friend in Germany who reads this magazine and comments on Charlemagne. Be aware that I am very old in my nineties and I was in our military from the beginning to past the end.

I have been in many meetings in Europe where everyone spoke a different language and we all spoke English. I was in a meeting in Germany where everyone had an America name and were speaking German. When I pointed this out we all became friends. No problem there. German is very easy for English speaking people. French is very difficult and do not want us to speak their language. Everyone in Europe knows how to handle this except those wanting to make an issue over it. That is because they are all human and like to make problems, or have fun. if you want to put it that way.

This is hard for me to understand. Why are we doing this? We should work together with Russia and continue to dis-arm our nuclear power.
Actually NATO should be re-examined and thought about in terms of a United Europe. NATO was prepared to prevent a United Europe in a communist europe and problems with France. Once these things get started, and when Turkey came in, it did help our relationship with Turkey. In reading this report, I agree that something is wrong and who may I ask, is paying for it?

It is easy to know how Obama won the last election and that was that McClain blew it. It takes a big man who has been a well known leader known to everyone to win an election. Being a prisoner-of-war is not good enough. No one knew anything about Obama, and still don't, but he knew how to talk to please people. Most of us us now know he doesn't know how to get anything done, and he showed to most of us, that he should not be reelected. Romney now has to prove that he should be elected. I will vote for Romney because I know him well, and wish him well.

This is an important subject and not to be joked about when they fail. Way back sometines in Japan everything was looked at and made the news. Even permant toilets are different where ever you go and this makes for problems for people who travel. Maybe some engineer, or company, will read this and get busy and make a lot of money.

How does anyone know what Romney wants to talk about? His main advantage was that he was the only one who can beat Obama and that is because he does not run his mouth before he knows what he is talking about like Obama does.
I guess you have to write something to draw comments while everyone is still waiting. Our elections are difficult to judge even after the votes are in.

Europe has to be very careful not to divide people up in groups as that is how you end up in wars. It might be nice to form a German land and a Roman land and a Greek land as that is the way you think but we live in a different world today not based on where people live and who they are.
The British are having the same problem of people breaking up in groups like Europe already is.
In the meantime all the rest of the world are forming into groups for other reasons. And Europe cannot do anything? Come on! Get your people talking to each other. Even the Arabs are doing that and look what they have done. Find your way! Not only will you save Europe, you will save the world. And that is what you claim you all are good at, and you are as a group since the beginning. Think BIG.

I feel like we are part of the problem and I can't understand why we cannot work together with China to dump their communism and that is all. We should stand with them and not against them.
It was not the Chinese that got us in the war in Asia. It was the Japanese. Futhermore the Chinese are the best able to maintain peace and will co-operate with us as they are a peaceful people if left alone and not forced.

Think back about how this all started when "Gays" were dying off fast from HIV-Aids and someone came up with this idea of pairing off with one person to try to stop them fron dying.
It did work here a little here but it has gotten worse in some other places and passed on to women and children too. Cuba isolated them and it worked faster there. We tried to help them but now they want to destroy us and they are suceeding.

You are right and it is what is causing the problem. The Supreme Court determines the law. That has brought out the Tea Party movement. People want their county back. All of my ancesters came from Europe beginning in 1610 and I really don't think that makes me more American. I will also be 91 years old in a stort while and I have lived through these changes some good and some bad, in my opinion which is what's good for our country is what we should think of.

I am a friend of the Chinese. Asuming that you are Chinese. What our President can do depends on if we are at peace, or we are at war. That is because our President becomes the commander and is resposible to make all the big decisions in the time of war.
We were attacked on 9-11 as you must surly know and that put us at war. The decision was made to remove the Dictator in Iraq to free the people and they would become our friends to help us stop the few Arabs who put us at war. It didn't work and nothing else has worked either. We were prepared for a big war which has made us the policemen of the world and it has worked to free Russia from communism and I think that China is moving that way too in the Chinese way of doing things peacebly. You can judge that for yourself.
When we are at peace,it will be a different better world and our President will have to do only with the affairs of congress and our people who are from all over the world, including your own people. I have made this simple so that you can help us and understand why..

I very much agree with you but I don't know the reason for everything to go wrong, and I mean everything, and I don't know who to believe. Obama seems to have falleapart fast, but why? Could it be that he wasn't as good as we thought, or has he let some one else make the mess we are in in our military. It could be that the war has gone for too long a time and the military is having problems that we don't know about? That worries the hell out of me. I have seen it before.
The sad thing is maybe Obama has gone crazy and Romany is un-tested and there is no Harry Truman anywhere. We are flying blind and I will gladly listion to anyone who thinks they know what to do.

I have been voting since FDR and things have been constanly more difficult and are out of control so much so that it created the Tea Party and Gay Party, so to speak. It has become a gamble not like it used to be.

You seem to judge people without knowing who they are "Somalia or Yemen". I can't spell but I know what people are like all over the world, and what war is like because I experienced it, and it is not good as it leaves pain on you for the rest of your life. If you are young and having problems you can find help and I know it can be done.
