What American needs in a President now is someone with experience as a social injustice professor or someone with experience at community orginization or someone with experience as a civil rights activist. Forget Romney...he'll just waste his time trying to promote economic activity, write common sense regulations, reduce the federal debt, expand employment opportunity, etc.

You are incorrect. Singles have a much much lower tax rate than do married folks. Go to irs.gov and print the form 1040. Do single man & single women each making $50K living toghther each with a kid. Then do a married man & women living toghther each making $50K and each with a kid. The married couple pay $4500 more in taxes each year.

The new liberal progressive democrat plan:

3. If you charge men more than women to cut their fingernails...we shall put you in prison.

June 2012: Germany backs all EU bank deposits
August 2012: Greece exits Euro..creates own currency...defaults on all state debt
October 2012: Germany sends the Greeks their bank deposits in EUROs. Massive tax increase on German citizens to cover the cost.

The tone of this article is very anti-Germany...I just don't get it. If you consume more than you produce (Greece) you have no right to "force" the the over producer (Germany) to give you their excess. What right does anyone have to tell Germans they should work hard...work extra long hours...work weekends...work thru vacations...produce excess...and then give that excess to someone else...someone who works few hours...does not work weekends...does not work thru holidays. This is just plain wrong. The anti-Germany tone of this article is an injustice to the German people.

Perhaps we've just reached agreement. I don't mind paying taxes to help the poor....but I don't think our current welfare system helps the poor very much. We need to focuse more on hand-ups and less on hand-outs.

I used to have long hair, smoke dope, do OWS type stuff, and I hated all business and all corproations.

Then I grew up, got a job, traveled the world, and even visited countries that had no corporations. I saw them tote their drinking water two miles, no shoes, never bath, and living for a year on the same money I made working just one day in the corporate world of the United States.

Now I appriciate corporate America...despite its many many imperfections.

Today combined federal, state, and local government spending is equal to 42% of GDP and it's growing fast. As a conservative I would like to see this number reduced to around 25%. Problem is...Republicans have been growing the size of government just as fast as Democrats. These grassroots movements (insurgency) are a good thing for America. If we can clean house and elect only Republicans that will really reduce the size of government...then American voters will have a clear choice...smaller government (Republican) or bigger government (Democrat). Today voters don't have this choice because they are going to get bigger government no matter who wins. This movement is a good thing...it will provide Americans with a real choice.

The so called "Equal Pay Act" would result in thousands of lawsuits against hard working business owners. The trial lawyers would get rich...family businesses would suffer...and women would not benefit...not one tiny bit. Only a left wing liberal progressive government employee democrat could think that this crazy anti-business Act is good....it's not...it's total junk !!

In America we care more about wealth inequality then we do about average wealth. We forget the fact that a typical American worker is "the 1%" when compared to folks living in Somalia. We forget the fact that middle class American women spend more money on pedicures than Ethiopian women spend on a month's food for the whole family. Far more important to us is wealth equality...even if the average American becomes dirt poor...as long as everyone is equally poor we are happy.

I wasn't referring to the hiring of more prison guards...I was referring to the fact that these prison guards retire at age 48 with $150,000 per year pensions. That sir is a result of democrats.
