The rift

Planned Parenthood doesn't screen anyone for cancer. It's a myth. The refer people to cancer specialists. However, they do perform over 300,000 abortions.

The idea that more people will die from cancer because of this move is a fantasy.

Just as incredible as Christianity

As an American Christian I hold no animosity to Mormons. My problem with the Mormon teaching isn't because I think "it's weird" or improbable. I believe Jesus was killed and rose from the dead. That's improbable from a non-believer's perspective.

The Mormon teaching isn't just an "next chapter" to the New Testament it's an entirely different gospel. The New Testament was the fulfillment to the prophecies of the Old Testament. As Christians we view John Smith as a false prophet.

The nastiness of Rick Perry

For the non-Christians let me clear this up for you. The United States should be protecting the human rights of all those abroad regardless of sex, race, or sexuality. It's the fact that the President is making the distinction that should bother Christians who view homosexuality as a sin.

Obama is just pandering. Is the United States doing anything about human rights violations in China? How about using that $3 million raising awareness of what's going on in China. Oh, that's right, the President doesn't really care.

Common ground

Mort Mortensen now speaks for everyone. I'm an American and I care. The NFL is now the #1 American spectator sport: however, Baseball is still super popular in the United States, parts of Asia, and Latin America.

Wait, Bush is okay now?

Who is B.G.? What is disgusting about pointing out that Bush created vast bureaucracy and increased spending? What was fiscally conservative about the Bush administration? The fact that he's viewed favorably by 57% of Tea Partiers says more about Obama than it does about Bush. Right leaning Americans didn't like Bush's propensity to spend, but it's looks a lot better when compared to the current resident of the White House.

The economic situation is a lot different in 2010 than it was in 2006. Trying to compare the periods without taking that into account is disgusting.

Goodbye to that tie

This isn't a great time for a senate confirmation, but it's better than next year when the Democratic majority will likely much smaller or non existent.

As far as the "center." Most Americans opposed Obama's last nominee and I expect the same thing this time. The Republics don't have enough votes to cause a problem. Keep in mind the Democrats are the only party who have torpedoed a qualified nominee in the past fifty years.
