From VonClaus "In psychology this is called the Self-serving bias (Frits Heider, Hans Weevers)"
I quite agree with this. However, it might as well lead to the fact the poor think "I would give more" because he wants the rich to give to him. When you don't have money, you logically think that rich people should give you and other poors money. And when you're put in a GAME with money to split, well you share.
All human people, rich or poor, are by definition biased and this sort of pseudo-class war contest about who is the most generous will not inform us in anything, I fear. That's why democracy stands for improving the lot of everyone, not just of the rich class (= aristocracy model) nor just of the poor (= communism).
It's funny how golden parachute seem unrelated to results in this chart. I think golden parachute are definitely not well designed and should get more scrutiny from shareholders (maybe some help from gov here to make sure shareholders do really have the power).
On the other hand, greatmongo show the populists why a CEO can and must be well paid if he's successful. What would be the point of a 25 year carreer to reach a CEO job if you don't get paid for it?
Well nepotism is not (only) a family problem right. A son of 23 without a degree at the head of the biggest commercial building complex of France sounds like a political problem to me :)
The same for the last affaire: illegaly financing your party is a political problem.
His wifes? Well, you're right it isn't a political issue until Sarkozy himself placed his private life at the core of his image...
But you're right there isn't much about political actions... Maybe because there was no political actions, he was just flying all over the world :)
(to be fair, pension reform is a political action just starting now, but French people are not going to like him more for that, however good it might be)
