I wonder how long/what it'll take for African countries to realise that we have far more to gain in increased cooperation amongst ourselves rather than engaging in frequent conflicts. The irony here is most children growing up in Africa are taught great tolerance and sympathy for others at an early age. 'Tis such a shame that most of the current SUPPOSED leaders of the continent are so greedy, wicked, unpatriotic and/or foolish that most don't care for the welfare of the people they're supposed to be SERVING!
good article but you fail to report about DRC's reprisals in 2009 when they also expelled thousands of angolans residing legally in Congo as refugees from the Angolan civil war, some of whom had never actually been to Angola before and were fully integrated into Congolese society. I'm not obviously condoning Angola's police appalling behavior
These two are no strangers to conflicts, how they start, and the toll they exert. Angola especially, should know better. I don't pretend to know the pertinent facts but one thing is clear: nothing justfies human rights violations... Rape for goodness sake! Angola! Sort this thing out!
