Considering the lack of history or shared goals I'd call it a reactionary effort to stop clamp down on the unrest. So who's the Metternich for Saudi Arabia?
Iraq was refused entry into GCC quite recently, thinking May 16th I believe it was announced, bit odd no mention. couldn't work that into the story? due to politics mainly
Arab League Summit to hosted by Iraq is also postponed. lack of attendence is similiar reason why Iraq was not admitted to the GCC.
Not surprising considering as soon as the last of the American troops pull out, Iraq will be full fledged Iranian vassal instead of the partial vassal state they are now.
