THANK you for all your entries in our latest caption competition. We asked you to provide a pithy caption for a photo accompanying an article in our Business section. Harvard Business School has added a variety of practical elements to its core classroom curriculum. Known as the "FIELD method" (a hands-on addition to the "case method" of teaching, for which the university is well known) this new course aims to ensure that MBA graduates are top-rate in practice—not just on paper. Our favourite entries included:
Conrad P: "Practically experienced"
J from Maine: "Send in the gowns"
Heinz667: "No more pretending"
sking: "Now my salary's this much"
lm_oconnor: "A crowded field"
Jim Dakota: "Ready to occupy Wall Street"
Connect The Dots: "Rumours of a job"
LaContra: "Everyone to the dole office!"
We chose a simple one this week. The winning caption was "FIELD-tested". This was first suggested by reader Jagged M, with Devin 423 close behind. Will Stewart, Chez Julia and a handful of others also deserve mention for their very similar suggestions. The caption appears in the paper tomorrow. We offer our congratulations to the winners and our thanks to everyone who took part.
In this blog, our correspondents respond to breaking news stories and provide comment and analysis. The blog takes its name from newsbooks, the 16th- and 17th-century precursors to newspapers, which covered battles, disasters, debates and sensational trials
